F.A.Q

How do I get a quote for a kitchen respray?

You can contact us directly on any of the numbers listing on this site, or via email, or Facebook. Once, we receive your initial query, we will ask you to send us a photo of your kitchen. This gives us a better understanding of your needs and allows us to provide an approximate cost for the job.

Do you only give quotes over the phone?

No, once we have the initial conversation, we will arrange a call out to discuss your requirements in greater detail and get a closer look at the project. This is the first stage of our transformation consultation.

Do you have a call out charge?

No.

Color choice?

We can match any color from any paint range.

What work is included in a standard kitchen respray?

All doors are removed and taken to our purpose built facility. Doors are cleaned with commercial cleaners to remove dirt and grease, the doors are than striped, filled and sanded. Doors are finished on the front and back.

The kitchen carcass will be completed in your home (cleaning, sanding, spraying).

What type of paint do you use?

We use 2pac polyurethane paint for priming and finishing coats. There is no limit on finishing coats we spray until completion.

Why do you not hand paint kitchens, does hand painting not provide a better finish?

Hand painted kitchen provided a different finish. Spray painting provides a more even professional finish.

Do I need to pay a deposit in advance of work starting?

No, once we have agreed on the work too be done and confirmed a starting date we will not ask you for a deposit. Our business is built on trust and our reputation of quality work.

How long does a standard kitchen transformation take?

Typically, a standard size kitchen takes 3 days. This is for a kitchen respray without additional transformation works i.e. counter top replacement, layout changes, adding kitchen islands etc.

Do you spend 3 days in my home?

No, we typically spend 1 day in your home, with the rest of the works completed in our purpose build facility. We will  agree a start with you in advance of the starting date.

How soon can you start?

Like other businesses, we have busy periods too. We always try to meet customers expectations regarding availability but if you have something important coming up or a date in mind for completion, we would advise you to book in sooner rather than later.

Do I need to do anything in advance?

Yes, we ask for all counter tops to be cleared completely. Any units with glass doors should be emptied, this is so we can spray the inside of the unit. We do not spray the inside of other units. If this is something  you are interested in, it is an additional cost however, it isn't something we recommend due to wear and tear.

What happens on start day?

  1. When we arrive, we remove all the doors and strip the door hardware.

  2. The doors are packed for transport  and taken to our purpose built facility to be completed. All hardware (hinges/handles etc.) stay with the you in your home and should be carefully stored.

  3. We then mask your kitchen.

  4. All areas to be painted are thoroughly cleaned with commercial cleaners.

  5. All areas to be painted are now checked for any defects and these are filled and sanded as required.

  6. All areas are now primed and painted.

  7. It takes approximately 45 minutes for surfaces to dry.

  8. Once, all areas are dry, masking is removed and the work is checked.

  9. We leave your home as we found it.

Do you spray wardrobes?

Yes we do! The process is very similar to a kitchen respray.

Do you refinish furniture?

Yes we do!

Often customers will want table and chairs or other furniture/units color matched to kitchens.

Similarly,  for wardrobe resprays, customers often want beds, bedside tables, nightstands etc. color matched to wardrobes.

Or sometimes, customers have an old much loved piece of furniture that needs to be brought up to date with a pop of color, no problem!

Products we use

We aim to be the best at what we do and to ensure we are, we only use the best and most suitable products. We use 2pac polyurethane paints and lacquers, this is an industry standard, designed for kitchens, providing a durable and long lasting finish that can take the demand of a working kitchen.

We will NEVER use or recommend the use of domestic paints to spray a kitchen regardless of the brand.

If you have anymore questions we are happy to answer them by phone.

We do more then just Spray Kitchens.
